Call for expressions of interest in accordance with § 4 para 2 of the German Regulation on Network Reserve (NetzResV) for the winter period 2017/2018 (1600 MW)

In accordance with the provisions of the German regulation on reserve power plants (Netzreserveverordnung – abbr. NetzResV) dated 27th June 2013 and adjusted 22nd December 2016, the German regulatory authority Bundesnetzagentur has examined the requirement for additional reserve power for the network reserve as calculated by the transmission system operators for the winter period 2017/2018, and has published the associated report in accordance with § 3 para 1 NetzResV. The report by Bundesnetzagentur dated 2nd May 2017 identifies a direct additional requirement for the winter period 2017/2018 of total 1600 MW generation capacity for the network reserve. To cover the required generation capacity, the transmission system operators launch a call for expression of interest in accordance with § 4 NetzResV.
